Sessions for babies and caregivers

Mama makes - mum and baby mindful crafting club

Because you deserve a little ‘me time’ - with baby by your side!

A new relaxed and welcoming mum and baby class designed especially for mums to take some time for themselves. Bring along your little one (under walking age) to play with our selection of toys, or relax/sleep in the pushchair or carrier, while you create, chat and have a well deserved cuppa!

A different craft activity is supplied to work on each session and take home with you, or feel free to take the creative reins and create whatever you fancy!

All materials are supplied, as well as a rotation of toys and mats for babies, and refreshment for mum included.

Held at Bishops Park Community Centre, in Bishops Stortford.

1:1 baby and parent sessions

1:1 baby massage sessions available to be booked- held in the comfort of your own home, or 1:1 studio session on an individual basis.

Perfect for new parents with babies suffering from colic/wind issues, sleep problems, recovery from traumatic births or bonding issues, or parents needing a more personal environment. Full baby massage routine including acupressure and reflexology techniques covered during the sessions, including organic oil and handouts to continue practice at home,

0-5 age group

Pre-school/nursery workshops

Sessions suitable for EYFS settings such as nurseries or preschools. Including engaging introductions to yoga, mindfulness and meditation, through games, dancing and stories. Teaching early emotional regulation tools and having lots of fun! Bookable as one-off workshops or termly block bookings for weekly sessions.

Parent and toddler workshops

Workshops held for pre-school age children and their parents/caregivers- generally suitable for ages 0-5. Involving yoga stories, yoga games, learning fun breathing techniques, free flow sensory play and crafts. Teaching early emotional regulation tools and encouraging relaxation and mindfulness for caregivers too.

Sessions for primary age children

School clubs

After school mindfulness clubs- held currently on Mondays at Reedings Junior school and Wednesdays at Spellbrook C of E Primary school.

Primarily involving mindful crafts , group games based on yoga and mindfulness, and yoga flows with breathing/meditation practice, following the children’s interests. Working towards mindfulness, emotional regulation and improving self esteem.

Lunchtime mindful crafting clubs- held currently on Thursdays at Spellbrook C of E Primary School.

Simple craft activities, based around ideas of mindfulness and self affirmation. Working towards mindfulness, emotional regulation and improving self esteem.

Drop off clubs held during the school holidays and half terms, running in a beautiful local National Trust setting, Hatfield Forest. Split into two age group sessions- age 4-7 and age 8-13. Generally running 10am-2 or 3pm depending on season.

Yoga flows and games, mindful crafts based on nature- including weaving, painting, knitting, sewing, drawing and colouring, scavenger hunts and mindful forest walks, meditation and breathing exercises. Session numbers capped to ensure intimate experience for the children, to make friends, work on skills and crafts together in a calm environment.
